Overview
Mphasis is hiring a Technical Specialist for its Singapore location. This is a full-time, on-site role suited to candidates with a strong technical foundation and the ability to support engineering teams and inspectors in day-to-day work.
What you will do
The role involves working closely with engineers, coordinating with inspectors, and contributing to technical problem-solving and project execution. You will also be expected to support test environments, handle software and hardware setup, and use a range of engineering and productivity tools.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with engineers and collaborate smoothly with inspection teams.
- Apply strong analytical thinking to identify issues and support solutions.
- Manage tasks and projects with good planning and coordination.
- Set up PCs and mobile operating systems and connect them with test hardware, software, and drivers.
- Use basic programming knowledge where needed, including C++, C#, and Visual Basic.
- Work with Oracle database queries, ODBC, MS Query, SQL, and related tools.
- Use PowerPoint, Excel, JMP, and CREO for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
- Support work involving basic TIJ and ink supply knowledge.
Requirements
- A diploma at minimum in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to work effectively with engineers and inspectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Very good written and spoken English, along with presentation skills.
- Solid project management capability.
- Working knowledge of TIJ and ink supply basics.
- Comfort with configuring PCs and mobile OS environments for test setups.
- Basic exposure to programming languages such as C++, C#, and Visual Basic is an advantage.
- Experience with Oracle database queries, ODBC, MS Query, and SQL tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, JMP, and CREO.
