- Create secure, resilient, and cost-conscious archive tiers for extended data preservation.
- Support hybrid backup and archive scenarios without depending on deep hyperscaler-specific specialization.
Disaster Recovery and Resilience

- Support hybrid backup, cloud archive, and cloud recovery use cases.
Security, Compliance, and Hardening
- Set and enforce Linux security baselines covering access control, logging, auditing, and system hardening.
- Protect backup data through encryption, immutability, and controlled access.
- Support compliance, audit, and regulatory controls tied to data protection and system security.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Implement centralized monitoring, alerting, and reporting for Linux and backup environments.
- Provide consistent visibility across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms.
- Define operational KPIs, system health dashboards, and capacity reports.
Project Delivery and Technical Leadership
- Lead Linux and backup initiatives from start to finish, including deployments, upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts.
- Guide system engineers and administrators with technical leadership and mentorship.
- Maintain architecture records, standards, and operational runbooks.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the technical point of contact for business users, vendors, and service providers.
- Explain designs, risks, and operational consequences clearly and professionally.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring 8 to 10 years of experience in enterprise Linux systems engineering and architecture, along with strong hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux in mission-critical environments. The role also requires 8 to 10 years of experience with Commvault Backup, Recovery, and Archive solutions, including Commvault Cloud Archive.
Direct experience integrating Commvault Archive with Azure and Google Cloud archive storage is expected, along with a solid grasp of backup, archive, retention, compliance, and disaster recovery principles.
Education and Certification
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
