Strategy Manager

Role Overview

A specialist strategy consulting firm is hiring a Manager to support its expanding technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) practice in the New York City metropolitan area. The position is suited to someone who enjoys leading complex advisory work, building strong client relationships, and shaping strategic decisions for senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will lead strategic engagements with clients, coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, and turn research and analysis into clear recommendations for leadership teams. The work will include market assessment, growth planning, commercial due diligence, and business transformation projects.

You will also be responsible for managing teams through challenging assignments, creating strategic frameworks, overseeing execution, and contributing to the growth of the consulting practice through business development and internal firm-building efforts.

Additional Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end project delivery across assigned consulting workstreams.
• Perform market and competitor analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Develop and present structured recommendations for executive audiences.
• Coach and support junior consultants as they contribute to client work.
• Help advance business development and broader practice-building initiatives.

Requirements

The employer is looking for a candidate with an MBA or equivalent professional experience, along with prior people-management experience in strategy consulting. Strong analytical thinking, sound problem-solving ability, and confidence in client-facing situations are essential.
