Sr. Project Manager

Role overview

This position is responsible for steering major, business-critical projects from initiation through delivery. The role calls for strong governance, clear direction, and active stakeholder management so that each project is completed in line with Salam PMO standards and delivers the intended business results within the agreed scope, budget, quality, and timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Run complex and strategic initiatives according to the Salam PMO project lifecycle, methods, and governance rules.
• Set the project approach, goals, scope, financial plan, schedule, and staffing needs to support the required business outcome.
• Manage the full delivery cycle and keep execution aligned with approved scope, cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress.
• Build and maintain governance forums, ensuring stage-gate compliance, approvals, and adherence to company policies.
• Spot project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation points early, and put mitigation plans in place throughout delivery.
• Track project health and take corrective action when performance drifts from plan.
• Manage project budgets, spending, and resource allocation to support effective delivery.
• Support change management activities and help prepare the business for adoption and readiness.
• Draft and present executive-level updates, progress reports, and decision papers for senior leadership and governance bodies.
• Coach and support Project Managers and team members to strengthen project management skills across the organization.
• Record lessons learned and contribute to ongoing improvements in project management practices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, MIS (Moammar Information Systems), or a closely related discipline.
• PMP certification is mandatory.
• PgMP® or PfMP® certification is preferred.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in project management.
