Role Overview

As a Solution Engineer, you will work directly with customers to own the data implementation journey and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. The role focuses on integrating ERP data into the Carbmee platform, reviewing datasets, spotting gaps, and shaping the technical rollout needed to close them.

This is explicitly not a pre-sales role and not a software engineering position. Instead, it is a broad, hands-on role for someone who can balance implementation work, integrations, data handling, and project coordination. You will manage complex technical rollouts, handle data transformation and imports, improve workflows, and adjust your work to customer needs and project timelines. The job also involves creating and using tools and scripts for data feedback, pre-processing, and other customer-specific tasks throughout the journey. A flexible, solution-focused mindset and close collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full implementation process and guide customers through a smooth onboarding path with successful platform integration.
• Review data from customer ERP systems, work with stakeholders to understand their processes, and support the integration design.
• Manage data transformation and import activities so customer data matches Carbmee’s requirements, while giving feedback and improvement suggestions.
• Set up initial data sets and process data change requests inside the Carbmee EIS software.
• Create and maintain structured project plans with milestones, dependencies, and deliverables, coordinating all involved stakeholders.
• Build and use scripts and tools needed during the customer implementation journey.
• Support customers directly by troubleshooting issues early and helping them adopt the platform successfully.
• Continuously improve implementation workflows and look for ways to scale, automate, and increase efficiency.
• Work with Data Engineers to communicate requirements for data tools so the team has the right solutions for the task.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, data analysis, or technical project management.
• Proven ability to lead data-focused implementations with multiple stakeholders in fast-moving environments.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS and data integration, including APIs, basic scripting in Python and SQL, and ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Practical experience with data imports, including cleaning, validation, transformation, and preparation for integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Comfort working with distributed and cross-functional teams in a collaborative style.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a strong advantage.
• Interest in sustainability, carbon emissions, and decarbonization aligned with Carbmee’s mission.
• Willingness to join a diverse international team in Berlin or Munich and work remotely or in a hybrid setup.
