Role overview

BankSA, part of the Westpac Group, is hiring a Relationship Manager with an agribusiness focus. This full-time position is based in Port Lincoln, South Australia, and supports a varied portfolio of commercial and agribusiness customers across the Eyre Peninsula.

In this role, you will act as the primary banking contact for local farmers and businesses, spending time in the market to understand their operations and identifying lending solutions that support their growth. The work ranges from straightforward cashflow lending through to more complex transaction structures, with the backing of a team that understands the region well.

This opportunity may suit an experienced agricultural banker seeking a fresh challenge, or an Assistant Manager, Analyst, or Banker who is ready to step up or move into agribusiness banking.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with a diverse portfolio of commercial and agribusiness customers across the Eyre Peninsula.
• Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing customer connections through active relationship management.
• Visit customers and referral sources in the local market to understand their needs and business drivers.
• Structure and negotiate lending solutions, including both simpler cashflow facilities and more complex deals.
• Apply credit judgement across cashflow analysis, balance sheet review, and risk assessment.
• Work closely with internal colleagues to deliver customer-focused banking solutions.

Candidate profile

The bank is looking for someone with strong relationship-building ability, a commercial mindset, and the confidence to grow a referral network. Curiosity and the right attitude are important, and prior experience with commercial or agribusiness clients is useful but not mandatory.
