Job Summary
This position calls for an accomplished Recruitment Manager who can drive hiring strategy and expand the organization’s talent reach through strong, multi-channel sourcing. The role is centered on building a broader and more diverse candidate pipeline by tapping public job channels, local communities, schools, and professional networks to support the company’s workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out a recruitment plan that supports business growth and workforce planning, while building a scalable sourcing framework.
- Develop creative hiring channels across online job platforms, social media, professional communities, local outreach, radio, public notices, walk-in campaigns, schools, vocational institutes, and referral networks.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates for both immediate and future hiring requirements through proactive sourcing and employer branding.
- Build long-term connections with community leaders, assembly members, schools, training centers, alumni groups, professional associations, and other external networks.
- Design outreach efforts that help attract applicants from surrounding communities and strengthen diversity and inclusion in hiring.
- Work with universities, technical schools, vocational institutions, and high schools to arrange career fairs and support internship and apprenticeship initiatives.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the recruitment team while promoting strong performance and effective hiring practices.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including posting roles, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting candidates, issuing offers, and supporting onboarding.
- Track hiring performance indicators such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and quality of hire, then use insights to improve recruitment outcomes.
- Ensure hiring processes follow local employment laws, internal policies, and diversity objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to strengthen employer visibility and attract key talent groups.
- Support a positive candidate journey from first contact through onboarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of progressive recruitment experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial position.
- Strong experience in high-volume hiring, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or similar fast-paced environments.
- Background in the manufacturing or FMCG sector is an advantage.
- Proven ability to carry out community outreach, campus hiring, and relationship-building with educational institutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
- Solid understanding of Ghanaian labour regulations and effective hiring practices.
