Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager position based in the Greater Sydney Area. The role focuses on running day-to-day manufacturing activity, coordinating production plans, balancing workflow, and making sure people, equipment, and materials are aligned to meet output and quality goals.
Key Duties
You will lead production teams, arrange staffing, provide training, and encourage a workplace culture centred on safety and ongoing improvement. The position also involves checking equipment performance, resolving production issues, maintaining quality expectations, and ensuring workplace health and safety obligations are met.
In addition, you will work closely with procurement, logistics, sales, and senior leadership to manage inventory, control costs, and ensure customer orders are delivered on schedule.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings hands-on production or manufacturing management experience, preferably gained in textiles, plastics, or another industrial setting. Strong leadership skills are important, along with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams in a busy environment.
A solid understanding of production planning, process flow improvement, and basic lean or continuous improvement methods is expected. You should also be comfortable using production or ERP systems, analysing data at a basic level, and preparing reports that support operational decisions.
Strong attention to workplace safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance is essential. The role also calls for excellent communication, strong cross-functional teamwork, practical problem-solving, and a detail-oriented, hands-on approach to equipment and process management.
Additional Qualifications
Qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related area are highly valued. Prior exposure to, or interest in, turf, landscaping, sports surfaces, or building products will be considered an advantage.
