About the company
AIOS is building Europe’s first fully integrated AI doctor platform. The company is already operating at scale, serving more than 140,000 patients each month, generating over $300M in ARR, and growing at more than 10x year over year while remaining profitable. Its initial focus is GLP-1 care, which it uses as an entry point into the European healthcare system. The long-term plan spans rapid expansion across Europe, followed by deeper integration across patient care, prescribing, dispensing, and manufacturing. The company is founder-led, early in its journey, and aims to build a healthcare business that reaches 100 million patients worldwide by 2035.
Role overview
As a Product Designer at AIOS, you will take on a senior, high-ownership role across product design for both clinical software and customer-facing mobile experiences. The product has grown quickly, and the team needs stronger design leadership, structure, and judgment. You will own work from start to finish, handling ambiguous problems, speaking with the right stakeholders, understanding workflows and constraints, and delivering solutions that are ready to ship.
This role sits at the intersection of user needs, business priorities, and operational or regulatory limitations. You may collaborate with engineers on app flows, improve complex internal workflows, examine customer support themes to identify friction points, or explain and defend your design choices. You will report to the Head of Product Design and work closely with the Head of Product, as well as teammates across product, design, engineering, and customer experience.
This is a full-time remote position. The team works asynchronously with flexible hours, but you will need overlap with European and US time zones.
What you will do
- Own design work across products and drive projects independently from framing the problem through to a shipped outcome.
- Improve customer-facing web and mobile experiences, with mobile app work forming a major part of the role.
- Design internal tools and workflows for clinical, operations, enrolment, and customer experience teams, with a focus on usability and efficiency.
- Solve problems within commercial, operational, and regulatory constraints.
- Start from both the user need and the business objective, and clearly explain the problem you are addressing.
- Lead discovery, gather input from users or internal teams, define solutions, and carry work through to delivery.
- Communicate design thinking clearly, defend your decisions, and handle strong opinions constructively.
- Contribute as a senior team member by shaping design practices and supporting other designers while staying hands-on.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience designing digital products for web or mobile, including customer-facing apps or internal tools.
- A portfolio that demonstrates real product work, design judgment, constraints you worked within, and the impact of your decisions.
- Ability to take vague problems and move them forward independently without constant direction.
- Strong practical design craft with an emphasis on clarity and usability over decorative polish.
- Comfort working within fixed requirements, technical limits, and existing systems while still improving the experience.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain tradeoffs and defend design choices.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers and thinking through implementation details.
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, high-ownership environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Formal training in design, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent depth gained through real product experience.
- Experience designing products shaped by regulation, compliance, legal rules, or other strong business constraints.
- Ability to work effectively on products that must be built and maintained in code, with attention to implementation realities.
Cultural expectations
The team is looking for someone who aligns with a high-intensity, mission-driven environment. The culture emphasizes patient impact, integrity, comfort with ambiguity, strong standards, transparency, urgency, frugality, resourcefulness, focus, and a willingness to put long-term outcomes ahead of short-term status or distractions. The role is intended to be exceptionally challenging and deeply rewarding, with a strong expectation of commitment to the mission.
Compensation and benefits
The total compensation is $90,000 to $150,000 per year, including equity. The company also highlights early-stage equity upside as part of the offer.
- Comprehensive medical insurance, where applicable
- Paid time off with a yearly minimum of at least 2 weeks, plus local public holidays
- Fully remote setup with a distributed global team
- Personal development budget of $1,200 per year for books, courses, or coaching
- Personal wellness budget of $1,200 per year for gym memberships or health apps
- Free health coaching every two weeks
- MacBook and work-from-home equipment provided as needed
- Opportunity to help shape the company culture while it is still early
