Produce Stocker

Position overview

In this role, you will support the produce department by keeping shelves organized, ensuring stock is fresh and available, and helping deliver strong customer service in line with Walmart Canada’s standards and values. It is a good fit for someone interested in retail or customer service and looking to build practical store operations experience.

Key duties

• Keep the department neat and well organized.
• Move stock through the department, check products for expiry, and remove items that are no longer saleable.
• Make sure products are clearly labeled, signed, and priced correctly.
• Follow cold chain standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature logs, product handling, rotation practices, sell-by dates, and expiration checks.
• Carry out food safety, sanitation, and cleaning routines correctly.
• Complete ordering-related tasks, as well as clearance, markup/markdown, and labeling/signage procedures.
• Ensure the produce area stays fully stocked and ready for customers.
• Observe health and safety requirements at all times.
• Stock merchandise, pick items, downstock when needed, protect products when required, and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf-cap setups.

Pay information

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
