Plumbing Engineer

Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site Plumbing Engineer position in Dubai. The selected professional will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and coordinating plumbing and building services systems, with a focus on water supply, drainage, and related infrastructure.

What the role involves

You will prepare and check plumbing drawings and calculations, make sure the design follows applicable local regulations and recognised international standards, and work closely with MEP teams, architects, and contractors through both the design and delivery stages.

The job also includes carrying out site visits, addressing technical challenges, assisting with installation and commissioning, and confirming that plumbing installations meet quality, safety, and performance expectations. In addition, you will contribute to project scheduling, budget awareness, and project documentation so work can be completed on time and within cost targets.

Technical background

The role calls for solid knowledge of plumbing systems and plumbing design, including sizing, layout preparation, and system specification. Experience with water supply networks, distribution systems, and broader building services coordination is important. Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing coordination in construction projects will be useful.

Qualifications and tools

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Prior exposure to UAE building codes, standards, and approval processes is preferred. You should also be comfortable using design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP, along with MS Office applications.

Experience and working style

Applicants should bring proven site supervision experience, quality control awareness, and the ability to resolve technical issues that arise during construction. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities are essential, especially when working with multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
