Physiotherapist

Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site physiotherapy role based in Singapore. The position focuses on delivering clinical care, supporting programme delivery, contributing to service quality, and working closely with clients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary colleagues.

Clinical management

You will handle a standard caseload independently, using established programme approaches, frameworks, and SOPs to support clients with physical, functional, or mobility challenges.

• Evaluate clients and create physiotherapy plans tailored to their needs, then carry out appropriate interventions.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary, inter-disciplinary, or trans-disciplinary teams in one-to-one, group, or special settings depending on programme needs and client functioning levels.
• Track client progress, assess how well interventions are working, and review ongoing physiotherapy requirements.
• Update caregivers and the wider care team on client status, progress, and recommended next steps.
• Refer clients to the relevant specialists such as therapists, psychologists, neurologists, or doctors when further assessment or treatment is needed.
• Carry out home, school, or workplace visits when required.
• Deliver physiotherapy-related training on suitable platforms when needed.

Clinical administration

• Support departmental operations and administrative workflows that help service delivery run smoothly.
• Ensure clinical notes and records are completed promptly, and that reporting meets organisational and regulatory standards.
• Take part in quality assurance efforts, including audits, risk spotting, and incident reporting.
• Help maintain the programme’s therapy equipment and resource inventory.

Teaching and supervision

• Guide support staff, therapy assistants, other team members, caregivers, and volunteers on how to carry out or maintain physiotherapy programmes.
• Share practical knowledge and effective working methods with peers and junior colleagues as needed.
• Provide physiotherapy-related training on relevant platforms when required.

Professional development

• Take part in ongoing professional learning to keep clinical skills current and strong.
• Contribute to literature reviews and research-related work that supports evidence-based practice.
• Stay updated on new developments in physiotherapy and apply relevant insights in day-to-day practice.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, case conferences, in-service sessions, and other required meetings.

Additional responsibilities

• Join cross-divisional committees or events arranged by SPD when needed.
• Represent SPD in networking activities with community organisations when requested.
• Carry out other duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Allied Health Professional Council.
• Eligibility for registration as a Physiotherapist under the Allied Health Professions Act 2011.
• Strong communication skills and good interpersonal ability.
• Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
