Overview
The City of Perth is hiring a Parks Operator to support its Parks & Environment team in maintaining and improving horticultural, landscaping, and turf areas across a range of sites. This role is based in Osborne Park, WA, and sits within Infrastructure and Operations.

What you will do
Working under the guidance of the Team Leader, you will help deliver day-to-day horticultural, landscaping, and turf maintenance activities. The role involves operating equipment, maintaining tools and machinery, and carrying out park and reserve upkeep tasks.
Core duties
- Use a variety of horticultural plant, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Keep machinery and hand tools clean, serviceable, and in safe working order.
- Support the preparation of garden beds and landscape areas, including planting activities.
- Carry out mowing, brush-cutting, and edging across parks, reserves, and open spaces as needed.

Eligibility and pre-employment requirements
