Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Operations & Maintenance leader to oversee mechanical utility systems and site maintenance activities in Delhi. The position calls for strong technical capability in mechanical equipment upkeep, hands-on maintenance execution, and effective coordination with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Experience and Qualification
- A diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15 to 20 years of relevant experience, or
- A B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 15 to 25 years of experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle operation and maintenance activities for mechanical assets and utility systems.
- Work on HSC pumps, vertical turbine pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, and pipeline networks of different capacities.
- Carry out preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Support efficient system operation through strong communication, issue resolution, and service-focused coordination.
- Implement and track the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Improve equipment availability and operational performance across utilities, tender-related work, and business development efforts.
- Audit water and wastewater treatment plants, and oversee commissioning of water and sewer lines as well as O&M tasks.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and manage site-level client interactions professionally.
- Plan and execute monsoon preparedness activities as a preventive measure.
- Apply EHS and quality documentation, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure site work follows defined SOPs.
- Manage subcontractors, vendor agreements, supply contracts, purchase orders, and amendments.
- Monitor and control performance against KPIs.
Additional Information
This role requires practical exposure to maintenance systems, site coordination, and operational control in mechanical utilities. The candidate should be comfortable working with contracts, compliance documentation, and performance monitoring.
