About Juniper
Juniper provides aged care, housing, and support services for older Australians across Western Australia. The organisation offers residential care, home and community care, retirement living, and related services, with a workplace culture built on compassion, respect, and high standards of service.
About the Role
Juniper is looking for a caring and dependable Multiskilled Domestic team member to join its residential aged care home in Embleton. This is a practical, resident-focused position that moves between cleaning, laundry, and catering tasks to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.
You will work alongside care and hospitality teams to maintain cleanliness and hygiene, support meal preparation and service, and help protect residents’ comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and tidy resident rooms and shared spaces by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, ironing, and returning both personal and facility linen, while observing infection prevention procedures.
- Support catering activities by assisting with meal preparation and serving, setting tables, and helping ensure dietary requirements are met.
- Collaborate closely with care and hospitality colleagues to create an atmosphere where residents feel respected, valued, and at home.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements, along with infection control standards, throughout all duties.
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning, catering, and laundry work is preferred, especially in aged care or healthcare settings.
- Understanding of hygiene practices, food safety, and infection control is desirable.
- A Food Handling Certificate is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one.
- A genuine interest in supporting older people to live with dignity and comfort.
- Good physical fitness to manage the demands of the role.
- Flexibility to move between cleaning, laundry, and catering responsibilities as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents and co-workers.
What’s On Offer
- Hourly pay of $31.33, plus 12% superannuation.
- Access to salary packaging of up to $18,550 per year tax free.
- Opportunity to work with a non-profit, values-led aged care provider in Western Australia.
- Access for all employees to an online rewards platform offering retail discounts, employee benefits, wellness initiatives, and peer recognition.
- Health insurance discounts.
