Mechanical Engineer

Role overview

This full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer position supports transmission line projects by ensuring mechanical systems are reliable, well-installed, and maintained to a high standard. The role combines design review, field execution, inspection, troubleshooting, and coordination with site teams to help keep critical power infrastructure safe, durable, and operating as planned.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site activities for transmission line works and verify that mechanical execution matches project requirements and timelines.
• Carry out inspections, testing, and commissioning of equipment and structural elements.
• Plan and perform preventive as well as corrective maintenance to support long-term system reliability and efficiency.
• Offer engineering input for mechanical design reviews, installation work, and issue resolution.
• Confirm compliance with applicable local and international mechanical standards, codes, and safety rules.
• Work closely with other project functions to solve mechanical problems and improve performance.
• Keep accurate documentation for inspections, maintenance tasks, test outcomes, and site progress reports.
• Address mechanical breakdowns quickly and apply effective corrective measures while working under pressure.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical systems, equipment upkeep, and site supervision.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability, with attention to mechanical integrity.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Solid understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and safety practices used in transmission infrastructure.
• Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet demanding project deadlines.
• Valid Saudi Resident ID.
• Valid Saudi Driving License.
• Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
