Kitchen Porter - Fully Flexible

About the Role

Lyrath Estate Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join its kitchen team at a luxury five-star property on the edge of Kilkenny City, County Kilkenny, Ireland.

Key Duties

• Support the culinary team in keeping HACCP hygiene and food safety standards in place.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean and well-maintained throughout the day.
• Use and look after cleaning tools and equipment such as the dishwasher, handwashing areas, and pot-washing station.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen and storeroom spaces, along with tables, utensils, knives, and other equipment.
• Maintain a solid understanding of the standards expected for performance and service within the kitchen department.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, be fully flexible with working hours, and bring a strong work ethic, the ability to stay composed under pressure, and good communication skills. Prior experience in a busy setting is helpful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
