Job Purpose
The Key Account Manager for the Spine business in the Eastern Region will drive account growth through structured business development plans for AMICO’s sales customers. This role coordinates closely with the AMICO network to put those plans into action across all locations where the assigned customers operate. The position serves as the primary contact for strategic relationship management and is responsible for building long-term, productive partnerships with key customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with the assigned sales accounts.
- Create customer development plans and partner with the AMICO network to implement them effectively.
- Work out and finalize development plans with customers, covering commercial elements such as pricing, discounts, marketing assistance, and training support.
- Segment sales accounts based on volume, business type, and other relevant measures.
- Track activity and customer satisfaction levels on a regular basis and report findings.
- Serve as the main point of contact for strategic and commercial discussions with customers.
- Represent AMICO positively in all customer-facing interactions.
- Coordinate internal AMICO functions that support sales customers, including ordering, delivery, installation, and maintenance.
- Act as the internal coordinator for issues related to assigned sales accounts.
- Quickly identify customer issues and take action to resolve them.
- Provide regular updates to the Country Manager on business activity related to sales customers.
Additional Accountabilities
- Develop a strong understanding of customer internal workflows, including decision-making, ordering, purchasing, tendering, and other processes that may affect AMICO.
- Support sales activities and presentations for assigned accounts.
- Collect and share intelligence on competitor actions across sales accounts.
- Review account performance using data such as tenders won or lost, purchases by product category, profitability, and similar metrics.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or another relevant discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 8 years of experience in a comparable key account role.
- Proven track record of handling relationships with multiple key accounts successfully.
