Junior Criminal Analyst

Role overview

Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst in Baltimore, Maryland to support a highly visible Homeland Security Investigations worksite enforcement mission. In this position, you will work closely with HSI special agents to review I-9 employment records, business documentation, and government data sources that support national and international enforcement investigations. The role is fast-moving, highly detailed, and directly contributes to enforcement actions such as Notices of Inspection and Notices of Intent to Fine.

This is a strong entry point into federal investigative work, with mentoring from experienced investigators and exposure to compliance, analytical, and investigative career paths.

What you will do

• Review employer I-9 verification forms, payroll records, corporate filings, and related employment documents to identify compliance issues and possible violations of federal immigration-related employment rules.
• Search and compare information across law-enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and irregularities that support ongoing cases.
• Prepare precise case summaries, analytical write-ups, and supporting findings that can stand up to review and help drive enforcement activity.
• Support coordination efforts that connect domestic and international investigative programs and outside partner organizations.
• Organize case materials carefully and follow DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling rules while tracking possible violations of employment eligibility and workplace compliance laws.
• Build briefing packets and analytical support materials for site inspections, enforcement actions, and senior leadership meetings.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline.
• One to two years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.
• Strong analytical and research ability, including the capacity to review and combine large amounts of information and records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and working with federal law-enforcement personnel.
• Ability to accurately enter large volumes of paper-based information into digital systems and run database searches across investigative platforms.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain ICE suitability clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Preferred background includes experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies, familiarity with Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance, prior exposure to HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations, and experience handling sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled information.
• Experience using government databases or investigative case-management tools is a plus.
