HR Advisor

About the Opportunity

This position is for a broad-based HR Advisor who will partner with people leaders to provide guidance on HR and employee relations matters. The role combines day-to-day operational work with project activity, including payroll, engagement initiatives, policy updates, and improvements to off-boarding processes. You will also take ownership of recruitment for the Graduate Programme and support the Recruitment team where needed. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys variety, takes responsibility for their work, and likes delivering practical HR support in a busy team environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing generalist HR advice and support to leaders across the business.
• Handling employee relations queries and supporting resolution of workplace issues.
• Working on payroll-related tasks and contributing to end-to-end payroll processes.
• Preparing and using HR data and reports to support decision-making.
• Supporting engagement activity, policy development, and off-boarding process improvements.
• Leading recruitment activity for the Graduate Programme.
• Assisting the wider Recruitment team with hiring support as required.

What You’ll Need

• Experience in a generalist HR advisory role.
• Practical knowledge of end-to-end payroll and HR reporting.
• Solid understanding of New Zealand employment legislation.
• Confidence using HR systems, data, and process-driven workflows.
• Ability to build credibility and trust with people leaders.
• A collaborative, values-led approach with the flexibility to manage competing priorities.
