General Assistant (Cleaning Team)

As a General Assistant on the cleaning team, you will help maintain excellent cleanliness standards across the facility, including training spaces, changing areas, and shared amenities. This position is ideal for someone who notices the details, works dependably, and takes pride in improving the member experience.

This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week, based on-site in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.

Key Duties

• Clean all parts of the gym thoroughly, including floors, equipment, studios, changing rooms, showers, and shared areas.
• Disinfect and sanitise contact points and other surfaces to support a safe and hygienic environment.
• Remove waste, replace bin liners, and follow proper rubbish disposal practices.
• Check cleaning stock levels and inform management when supplies need replenishing.
• Coordinate with the wider gym team to help deliver a smooth experience for members.
• Escalate any maintenance or repair issues without delay.
• Consistently maintain the cleanliness and safety standards expected by Everlast Gyms.

About You

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is helpful, though not required, as training will be provided.
• You should have strong attention to detail and be comfortable working on your own.
• Basic understanding of cleaning methods, hygiene practices, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is useful; guidance will be given where needed.
• You need good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• Clear communication skills and a cooperative, team-focused approach are important.
• You must be available for evening and weekend shifts to align with gym opening hours.
