Field Equipment Inspector

Role overview

We are looking for a proactive Field Equipment Inspector in Dubai who enjoys hands-on work, adapts quickly to changing situations, and pays close attention to detail. The position suits someone with technical understanding, strong energy, and a willingness to spend substantial time on the move.

What the role involves

This is a field-based position rather than a desk job. You will travel regularly within the region and overseas, with some assignments lasting up to two weeks. The work covers a broad mix of heavy equipment across sectors such as mining, construction, transport, and agriculture. Using a dedicated inspection app, you will assess, record, and photograph assets directly on site.

You will also contribute to the wider sales process and customer support by handling inspections independently, solving issues as they come up, and supporting less experienced inspectors when needed. A practical, can-do approach is important in this role.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to remote, local, and international locations to carry out inspections, often for periods of 1 to 2 weeks
• Complete equipment inspections through the Inspector application for different equipment and product categories
• Arrange and/or carry out preparation tasks needed before inspection
• Map out efficient travel routes to make remote inspection work more productive
• Assist with auction-day operations
• Choose the correct inspection checklist for the equipment type and verify that all content is accurate
• Evaluate equipment condition and write clear, detailed descriptions
• Adjust inspection level upward or downward when the actual condition requires it
• Handle issues related to equipment identification and inspection readiness
• Fix technical problems connected to the Inspector app and the inspection workflow
• Manage daily priorities effectively to support smooth sale processing for multi-channel products

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant equipment-industry environment
• High school completion is required; a college qualification is an advantage
• Industry-specific certifications or accreditations are considered a plus
• Native-level Arabic and advanced English communication skills are required
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time within the GCC and outside it
• Ability to work alone, organize time well, and maintain quality under pressure
• Physically capable of climbing on and off equipment, walking, kneeling, and lifting items up to 20 kg
