Role Summary
This full-time, on-site role in Kanpur Nagar is for a Fiber Optic Splicer who will handle fiber cable splicing, termination, and testing across field locations and network setups. The position requires careful work with network layouts, cable preparation, structured cabling, and hand tools to ensure precise and reliable connections. The role also includes diagnosing signal concerns, carrying out basic electrical checks connected to fiber equipment, and maintaining documentation for quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Join, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in both field and network-infrastructure environments.
- Interpret network diagrams and schematics to complete installation work correctly.
- Prepare cables and manage structured cabling paths, including routing and labeling.
- Use hand tools and splicing tools to complete accurate and secure cable work.
- Identify and troubleshoot signal-related issues and support restoration work when required.
- Perform basic electrical checks associated with fiber and telecom equipment.
- Record completed work clearly to support quality control and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with field technicians and supervisors while following safety procedures.
- Support installation and maintenance work for customer and backbone networks.
