Driver

Role Overview

This position is based in Novena, Singapore, under the Ancillary Support function. The driver will be responsible for transporting clients safely and on time, while keeping the vehicle and onboard safety equipment in proper working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from assigned destinations according to the planned timetable, with safety and punctuality as top priorities.
• Keep all required safety items in the vehicle at all times, including wheelchair restraints, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and seat belts.
• Regularly inspect, maintain, and arrange servicing for the vehicle and its equipment, such as the hydraulic lifter, fire extinguisher, and seat belts.
• Ensure client safety throughout every journey by securing wheelchairs properly, fastening seat belts, and confirming that passengers remain safely belted during travel.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior on an ongoing basis.
• Support internal transport needs when required, including errands such as banking, mailing, and hand-delivery of documents within organisation premises or to other locations.
• Carry out a daily end-of-shift preventive check so the vehicle and equipment are ready for the next working day.
• Follow the organisation’s contingency and transport standard operating procedures during emergencies.
• Complete any other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Candidates must hold a Class 3 driving licence and demonstrate a strong driving record.
• Ability to read and communicate in basic English is needed.
• Possession of First Aid, AED, and CPR certification is preferred.
• Applicants should have good interpersonal and public relations skills.
• The role suits someone who is mature, pleasant, and professional in manner.
• Availability to begin work at short notice is expected.
