This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner employer that will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The hiring organization is seeking a Director, Managed Services in the United States.

In this senior leadership role, you will help build and expand a high-performing managed services function centered on Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications. The position blends strategic direction, client-facing leadership, and operational oversight in a fast-moving healthcare technology setting. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, commercial teams, and technical leaders to improve service outcomes, strengthen client partnerships, and support business growth.

Key accountabilities

• Set the direction for the managed services application team and ensure service delivery remains consistent, efficient, and aligned to SLA commitments.
• Guide daily client operations, review performance measures, uncover improvement opportunities, and roll out actions that raise quality and efficiency.
• Work with business development and practice leadership on sales support, pricing input, statement of work creation, and client presentations.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with senior healthcare leaders across technology and operations, acting as a trusted advisor throughout engagements.
• Oversee budgets, track gross margin performance, improve resource usage, and contribute to long-term operational planning.
• Assess emerging tools and technologies that can improve project coordination, capacity planning, reporting, and team productivity.
• Share best practices through internal collaboration, executive-level presentations, and industry events, while providing leadership with regular updates and recommendations.
• Help drive growth by leading EHR implementation and optimization efforts and supporting teams through complex digital transformation work.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an Application Manager position or another comparable leadership role within healthcare IT.
• Background managing EHR application teams, with experience in implementation, optimization, and managed services settings preferred.
• Active application certification, such as Epic Ambulatory or another equivalent EHR certification.
• Proven leadership experience with large-scale digital transformation initiatives and operational strategy execution.
• Demonstrated involvement in the sales cycle, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, presenting to clients, and supporting contract execution.
• Strong working knowledge of budgeting, financial performance management, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
• Experience with healthcare IT project management methods, Agile practices, and tools such as Microsoft Planner.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and executive presentation abilities, with the capability to spot risk, drive corrective action, and lead change.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and relevant professional experience.

• Base pay between USD 140,000 and USD 170,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
