Role overview
World Assessment Council is hiring a part-time Data Analyst to work remotely from the United States. The position is focused on handling data connected to digital education and assessment programs, with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.
What you will do
In this role, you will gather, clean, check, and organize data tied to education and assessment initiatives. You will run statistical analysis, develop data models, and prepare dashboards and reports that help guide decisions, research work, and communication with stakeholders. You will also look for patterns, interpret trends, and present your conclusions in clear visual and written formats for both technical and non-technical audiences.
You will work closely with program leads, researchers, and outside partners to define data needs and support active projects and publications.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical ability with practical experience working on education or assessment-related data.
- Hands-on experience with data work such as collection, cleaning, transformation, and visualization.
- Good grasp of statistics, including descriptive and inferential methods used in research and program evaluation.
- Experience building data models and designing structures that answer business or research questions.
- Ability to explain complex findings in simple, stakeholder-friendly language.
- Working knowledge of common analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting while managing priorities and deadlines in a part-time schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Education Research, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior exposure to, or a strong interest in, digital education, assessments, or talent development is an added advantage.
