Role Overview

The Construction Design Coordinator will support the coordination of design activities across the project, working closely with consultants, subcontractors, the wider project team, and other stakeholders to keep design outputs aligned with programme requirements, procurement timelines, quality standards, and site delivery needs.

Key Duties

  • Check that design information is delivered to the required standard and remains aligned with project timelines and procurement schedules.
  • Work with consultants and subcontractors to coordinate design activity.
  • Contribute to the development of the project programme.
  • Liaise with other disciplines to confirm compliance with project requirements, company procedures, industry standards, utility requirements, and client specifications.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly look-ahead plans with the project team.
  • Monitor progress against programme milestones through coordination with all trades.
  • Coordinate specialist subcontractor design input and arrange workshops to agree timelines.
  • Support the design team input and approval process within the supply chain.
  • Build productive relationships with the design team and project stakeholders from early concept stages, and help manage expectations through regular discussions on requirements and specifications.
  • Organise construction design meetings, document minutes, circulate actions, and follow up to ensure progress.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.
  • Represent the company professionally in all dealings with the public and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the company from time to time.
