Civil Site Engineer

About the role

Join Lakshmialekhya Housing as a Civil Site Engineer in Bengaluru, where you will help drive on-site execution, quality control, quantity tracking, and reporting for civil construction activities. Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the site team to keep work plans on track and ensure execution matches project timelines.
• Track, compile, and report daily quantities completed at site.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and compare weekly site quantities with planned quantities.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as work plans, project logs, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Apply the project’s site-specific quality control requirements and verify compliance.
• Record non-conformances, investigate the reasons behind them, and coordinate closure with the crew.
• Conduct site inspections, document daily checks and testing, and follow up on corrective actions for any deficiencies.
• Understand structural and architectural drawings and execute site work accordingly.
• Prepare work schedules and arrange manpower to improve productivity and manage labour effectively.
• Check shuttering and bar bending activities as required.
• Verify quantities needed for work completion and ensure material usage stays within specifications.
• Plan material requirements properly to reduce wastage at site.
• Monitor concreting work and prepare concrete checklists.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, including masonry, structural work, and finishing work, while also collecting measurements from execution engineers.
• Maintain raw material registers and daily cement consumption records.
• Check the quality of construction work at site.
• Coordinate with other trades such as MEP and landscape teams during execution.
• Support site activities according to the schedule and keep a forward-looking plan for upcoming work.
• Ensure accurate marking and execution of civil works including footings, columns, slabs, blockwork, plastering, marble work, tiling, false ceiling, painting, aluminium work, stainless steel work, staircase and balcony work, and AC-related work.
• Cross-check subcontractor bills and reconcile quantities.
• Prepare and submit data for extra items.
• Maintain DPR and WPR records and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Keep the site clean and organized to support smooth material movement and uninterrupted work.
• Take on other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Candidate profile

• Graduation is not mandatory for this role.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable working from the site in person.
