Role Summary

CERTEKBIO is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to guide its technology direction from Ventura, CA, with a flexible hybrid work setup. In this position, you will shape the company’s technical foundation, set the systems and strategy needed to support business objectives, and lead efforts across software development, IT operations, and broader technology initiatives.

You will partner with teams across the organization to make sure product development stays aligned with company goals, while also steering technical innovation, managing engineering talent, and building reliable, scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and oversee the company’s technology roadmap and technical strategy.
• Lead software development initiatives and guide product-related technology work.
• Manage IT operations and ensure dependable day-to-day technical support.
• Plan and implement technology projects and other strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams so product work stays aligned with business priorities.
• Encourage innovation and introduce practical improvements to technical processes and systems.
• Supervise technical teams and support strong execution across engineering functions.
• Design robust, scalable technology solutions that can grow with the business.

Qualifications

• Substantial background in software development and product development.
• Solid knowledge of project management and IT strategy.
• Experience with architecture design and building end-to-end technical solutions.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams effectively.
• Comfort working in a hybrid setup that combines on-site and remote coordination.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior exposure to healthcare or vaccine development is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and an innovative approach.

Additional Details
