Company Overview
Tantek 4D is an expanding digital engineering business working across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. The company supports projects in the Data Centre, Life Science, Technology, and Construction sectors, with a reputation for delivering safely, on schedule, and within budget. Its approach is built around safety, sustainability, quality, professionalism, and performance, and it provides integrated digital support from early design through to final project handover. Core offerings include BIM consultancy, digital twin solutions, geospatial surveying, and monitoring services.
Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site BIM Coordinator position based in the Sligo office. The role focuses on coordinating Building Information Models across multiple disciplines, keeping models accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements and standards. You will support design and delivery teams, help drive digital coordination, and contribute to the improvement of BIM processes across projects.
Key Duties
The BIM Coordinator will lead coordination meetings, track model progress, detect and resolve clashes, and maintain documentation linked to model deliverables. The position also includes working closely with architecture, MEP, and construction teams; assisting with BIM execution plans; supporting project managers with reporting; and helping train colleagues on effective BIM practices.
Required Background
Applicants should bring solid BIM coordination experience, ideally with hands-on use of Revit and Navisworks. Experience in CSA and MEP coordination, including clash detection and issue resolution between disciplines, is important. Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, documentation, and stakeholder communication is also valuable. A degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related subject is an advantage. Experience on complex, large-scale projects and knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650 will be beneficial. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment are essential. Proficiency with tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 or comparable platforms is desirable, along with a willingness to keep learning in the digital engineering space.
Eligibility
Candidates must already have the right visa or work authorisation to work in Ireland.
Additional Information
This role is based on-site in Sligo and forms part of Tantek 4D’s broader digital delivery capability across the project lifecycle.
