Associate – Finance

About the Role

The Associate – Finance supports core accounting operations across areas such as accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger activity. The role ensures financial records are entered accurately and processed in line with the organization’s accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, check, and organize accounting-related financial information.
• Monitor purchase ledgers and ensure expenses are posted correctly and tracked against approved budgets.
• Examine invoices before payment to confirm they are valid and accurate.
• Arrange vendor and contractor payments according to contract terms, including advance payments and penalties where applicable.
• Complete bank reconciliations across multiple banks so journal entries match the corresponding bank statements.
• Review and process adjusting entries, ensuring supplier accounts remain updated and controlled.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and make sure entries are recorded efficiently.
• Prepare and verify monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as management reports within required timelines.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in a comparable finance or accounting role.
• Prior exposure to FMCG and hypermarket operations is preferred.
• Strong analytical ability is essential.
