Role Overview
The Analyst III role is a senior analytics position focused on turning large volumes of business data into practical insights for product and business teams. The person in this role will assess problems and opportunities, shape analytics priorities, build frameworks for scorecards and insights, and support strategic decisions with predictive analysis and model outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate business problems and growth opportunities using data and customer feedback.
- Study customer behavior, market shifts, and competitor movements to uncover product development opportunities.
- Set priorities for analytics work that can deliver quick wins while also supporting longer-term goals.
- Create and maintain key performance scorecards in collaboration with the BI team.
- Build guidance and frameworks for analysts so they can produce clear, actionable insights, including forecasts, trend analysis, feature impact, and ROI.
- Work with cross-functional partners to shape roadmap planning and decision-making using predictive insights and model results.
- Spot chances to apply advanced modelling to important business challenges and to support product and marketing strategy.
Capabilities Required
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down unclear problems into structured analysis and sharp conclusions.
- Hands-on experience in statistical modelling, including regression, classification, clustering, time-series forecasting, and experimentation or A/B testing.
- Working knowledge of GenAI and agentic solutions is preferred, and practical experience is a plus.
- Advanced Python skills for data analysis and modelling, along with familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and statsmodels.
- Comfort working with SQL and basic data engineering practices.
- Ability to think strategically and understand broader business implications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Curiosity and initiative to investigate business and customer behavior deeply.
- Ability to guide, motivate, and support teams with situational leadership when required.
- Hands-on exposure to tools such as SQL, Excel, Python or R, clickstream analytics, and Tableau is beneficial.
- Experience in e-commerce or consumer technology is an added advantage.
- A proactive, positive, and self-driven mindset with a strong bias for action.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- 6 to 9 years of experience in data and business analytics.
- At least 2 years of experience leading or guiding junior to mid-level analytics professionals.
