About the Role
A nonprofit organization is looking for a temporary Administrative Assistant to provide broad support across day-to-day office and coordination tasks. This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Work Schedule
The role is based onsite from Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Compensation
The pay rate for this assignment is $25 to $28 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and physical mail, and route communications appropriately.
- Coordinate office setup, equipment needs, and troubleshooting support with IT and external vendors.
- Maintain vendor records, manage invoices, and oversee contract renewal tracking.
- Liaise with vendors to gather proposals, quotations, and insurance documentation.
- Process expenses and invoices while helping ensure costs are charged to the correct budget.
- Arrange meetings and appointments and keep leadership calendars organized.
- Assist with student club activities, including event coordination and logistical planning.
- Support a variety of operational tasks to help maintain an efficient workflow.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- At least 2 years of administrative experience is needed; 3 years is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Teams, along with basic familiarity with CRM tools.
- Strong organizational ability and comfort handling a high volume of tasks.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
- Careful attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information
This is a temporary contract assignment that may be extended based on business needs.
