Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Salt Lake City, Utah is for a Technical Interior Designer with strong Revit, documentation, and specification skills. The role calls for someone who is organized, precise, and comfortable turning design ideas into clear technical deliverables. You will support the creation of construction documents, specification books, Revit models, drawing sets, FF&E schedules, and presentation renderings while working closely with interior design and architecture teams to keep the design intent consistent through execution.
What You’ll Do
- Support interior design development from early concept stages through construction documentation.
- Collaborate on space planning, material selections, and interior detailing with the design team.
- Convert conceptual ideas into coordinated and accurate Revit models and drawing sets.
- Build and maintain detailed Revit files and complete construction document packages.
- Prepare, revise, and organize project specification books and material schedules.
- Manage furniture, fixtures, and equipment selections and associated specifications.
- Produce renderings and presentation visuals that help communicate ideas to clients and the broader project team.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors across the project lifecycle.
- Help uphold drafting standards and quality-control practices across all deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years of recent, consistent Revit experience is required.
- Background in preparing detailed construction documentation and technical drawing sets.
- Solid understanding of interior construction techniques, detailing, and building systems.
- Experience creating specifications, schedules, and FF&E documentation.
- Ability to use rendering and visualization tools effectively.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle several projects at once.
- Clear communication and coordination abilities.
- Residential design experience, especially with custom homes and mountain residences, is preferred.
