Role Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator will oversee purchase order coordination, customer order processing, inbound shipment tracking, inventory control, and issue resolution related to delays, shortages, and stock discrepancies. The role also involves identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders with both domestic and international vendors
- Monitor incoming shipments and keep delivery timelines on track
- Track inventory balances and ensure stock records remain accurate
- Coordinate with warehouses and logistics partners to support timely deliveries
- Handle customer orders and align fulfillment schedules
- Investigate and resolve shipping delays, stock shortages, and inventory mismatches
- Update supply chain information in ERP or inventory management systems
- Compile reports covering inventory, lead times, freight expenses, and service performance
- Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams on demand planning
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that lower costs and increase efficiency
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to forecast inventory needs
- Understanding of shipping and logistics documentation
- Strong data analysis and reporting capability
- Negotiation skills for supplier coordination
- Effective time management when working to deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- A college degree in business, logistics, or a related discipline is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Strong communication skills and experience managing vendors
- Careful attention to detail and a solid problem-solving approach
- Knowledge of import and export procedures is an advantage
