Job Summary
This role focuses on leading the apparel department to strengthen sales, profitability, merchandising standards, and overall customer experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver the department’s revenue, gross margin, and sales goals.
- Monitor stock levels, reduce shrinkage, and keep operating costs under control to support profitability.
- Follow standard operating procedures and visual merchandising norms to ensure products are displayed effectively.
- Hire, coach, and build the capability of apparel team members in product knowledge, selling methods, and customer service.
- Collect customer feedback, study it carefully, and use the insights to improve service and satisfaction.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, and presentation ability.
- Comfort handling pressure, multiple priorities, and team leadership.
- Customer-first mindset with good troubleshooting skills.
- Good command over data interpretation, numbers, and financial measures.
- Solid understanding of apparel store operations, merchandising practices, and sales planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a similar discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 4 to 6 years of experience in apparel retail operations or department management.
