Job Purpose
The Site Engineer is responsible for coordinating projects and site activities under the direction of the Project Manager. The role covers work across the client’s facilities and includes oversight of subcontracted services, with performance measured against the approved schedule and budget as well as the expectations of the client, facility manager, and end customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company’s on-site representative with chosen subcontractors throughout project delivery.
- Track instructions, commitments, and follow-through related to the project.
- Oversee contractor progress on site, including adherence to the schedule and alignment with drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Assist the Project Manager in managing the Project Daily Report, Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and any other required documentation, while helping ensure project targets are met or exceeded.
- Review project progress against time and budget constraints and flag deviations where needed.
- Share project status and performance updates with the project management team.
- Help identify operational gaps and support process improvements to address them.
- Organize and coordinate resources for each job, including support from other offices, sub-consultants, and suppliers, to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Carry out additional duties linked to this position in support of the Project Manager.
- Work closely with the broader Facility Manager team and promote best practices.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Projects & Minor Works Manager or the reporting Director.
Qualifications & Experience
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Facilities Management, or Civil Engineering. Candidates should bring more than 3 years of construction experience on significant projects in the UAE as part of a main contractor team, preferably in an airport setting.
