Salesforce Platform Lead

Role overview

Medrecruit, part of the Medenterprises Group, is building technology that improves the wellbeing of doctors and supports them throughout their careers. The organisation is seeking a Salesforce Practice Lead to guide its Salesforce engineering capability, lead a team, and help shape the future of Salesforce and Agentforce across the business. Internally, this position functions as a Chapter Lead with responsibility for people leadership, technical direction, and capability growth.

This role is hybrid and may be based in either Gold Coast, Australia or Queenstown, New Zealand. Strong candidates based in Auckland or Christchurch, New Zealand may also be considered.

What you will lead

• Leadership, coaching, mentoring, and career development for Salesforce Functional Consultants and Developers.
• Direction and oversight for Salesforce strategy, delivery quality, and ongoing platform improvement.
• Adoption of Agentforce and broader AI practices, including the design of safe and effective agentic workflows.
• Product discovery and solution delivery in partnership with product, design, and business stakeholders.
• Team operating practices, workshops, experimentation, and a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Set clear priorities, goals, and direction for the Salesforce chapter.
• Lead the design, build, release, and governance of Agentforce agents that enhance workflows.
• Put in place safeguards, evaluation methods, and observability for AI-enabled solutions.
• Maintain strong standards for Salesforce configuration, customisation, and platform upkeep.
• Support data governance, privacy compliance, and reliability across the platform.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to keep Salesforce aligned with business goals.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop engineering team members.
• Run guilds, craft development activities, and an AI/Agentforce community of practice.
• Apply agile and lean practices to help the organisation stay responsive and innovative.

What you bring

• At least 5 years of experience in senior Salesforce leadership positions.
• At least 2 years of people leadership experience.
• Practical exposure to Agentforce or similar agentic AI platforms.
• Strong use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
• Experience with MCP servers or comparable AI integration patterns.
• Solid knowledge of agile, lean, and modern engineering approaches.
• The ability to coach, mentor, manage conflict, and motivate teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A genuine commitment to people, culture, and continuous improvement.
• Salesforce certifications such as Admin, Platform Dev, and Architect, plus Agentforce Specialist credentials, are highly desirable.
