Research Assistant

Role Overview

Hope Madagascar is looking for a part-time Research Assistant in California, United States. The role focuses on supporting research work through careful data collection, analysis, documentation, and coordination. You will help gather information, structure research inputs, and keep data accurate and consistent across the research process.

The position involves assisting with background research, literature reviews, and data preparation. You will work with both qualitative and quantitative information, turning raw inputs into clear, organized outputs that can support analysis and decision-making.

What You Will Do

• Collect information from both primary and secondary research sources.
• Carry out background research and literature review tasks.
• Clean, organize, and maintain datasets and research files.
• Help analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
• Maintain research records, references, and databases.
• Draft summaries, reports, and other structured research materials.
• Monitor research tasks, progress, and timelines.
• Check that research data remains accurate, consistent, and dependable.
• Work according to research methods and documentation standards.
• Support the creation of presentations and other research communication materials.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable handling complex or incomplete information. You should be able to follow research guidance closely, record sources clearly, and produce well-organized outputs.
