About the Role
This position is for a Relationship Manager focused on the First Wealth segment at IDFC FIRST Bank. The role sits within retail banking and branch relationship management, supporting affluent clients with tailored financial solutions and portfolio growth.
What You’ll Do
You will serve as the main contact for a portfolio of high-net-worth customers, understand their financial goals and risk profile, and recommend suitable wealth solutions. The job also involves growing business through new client acquisition, deepening relationships with existing clients, and working closely with internal teams to deliver a smooth customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with high-net-worth customers through regular interactions and meetings.
- Assess each client’s financial objectives and risk appetite, then suggest personalized investment options.
- Promote and sell wealth offerings such as mutual funds, insurance, and other investment products.
- Achieve and surpass sales goals by bringing in new clients and expanding share of wallet from current customers.
- Stay informed about market movements and updates in investment products and related services.
- Coordinate with other bank functions to ensure a seamless and premium customer journey.
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines as well as internal policies and operating procedures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in relationship management or wealth management within banking or financial services.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a similar discipline.
- Strong understanding of investment and wealth products, including mutual funds, insurance, and related offerings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Capability to build long-term client relationships and understand local market preferences.
- Experience using MS Office and other relevant software tools.
- NISM, AMFI, or IRDAI certifications are considered an advantage.
