Project Manager

Role overview

An experienced Project Manager is needed to oversee the full lifecycle of Building Management System (BMS/BEMS) and Control Systems projects. The role covers work from engineering and design all the way through construction, testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of complete project delivery for BMS/BEMS, BAS, GRMS, Home Automation, Metering, CO Detection Systems, and MCC assignments.
• Build, track, and manage project timelines, budgets, manpower, and deliverables.
• Liaise closely with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep work moving smoothly.
• Examine technical submittals, shop drawings, specifications, BOQs, and other engineering documents.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, fault resolution, and the final transfer of the project to the client.
• Maintain compliance with project specifications, applicable international standards, quality controls, and HSE expectations.
• Spot project risks early and apply practical mitigation measures.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in BMS/BEMS, building automation, or control systems projects is necessary.
• Background in managing large commercial, hospitality, healthcare, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments is expected.
• Strong understanding of HVAC controls, MCC, PLC, testing and commissioning, and building automation systems is essential.
• PMP certification would be considered an added advantage.

This position is based in Doha, Qatar and is offered on a contract basis. The employer is seeking someone who can work on-site.
