About the Role
We are hiring a Product Engineer who operates with an ownership mindset and thinks beyond a conventional engineering checklist.
This position is for someone who does not wait for detailed specifications. Instead, they look for opportunities, engage with users, build quick prototypes, ship fast, and help shape the product direction.
The role blends product thinking, engineering, customer workflow understanding, AI systems, and business strategy. In many situations, you may take an idea from concept to prototype to live product within days rather than months.
The strongest candidates are systems-oriented, work with urgency, and know how to use AI as a force multiplier.
Why This Role Is Different
Engineering is evolving quickly, and AI has greatly increased what one engineer can design, create, and release.
The most effective product engineers do more than execute requirements. They explore possible product directions, build prototypes, speak with customers, and turn unclear problems into working solutions quickly.
The future belongs to engineers who:
- Approach work like product leaders
- Show strong ownership and initiative
- Use AI tools confidently and effectively
- Care deeply about outcomes for users
- Move fast with prototypes and iteration
- Work comfortably across engineering, product, and business contexts
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of product areas from opportunity discovery through launch and iteration
- Work directly with customers, customer success managers, and go-to-market teams to understand workflows and pain points
- Design and develop full-stack features that improve user experience and support business goals
- Build and test new concepts quickly, especially in uncertain or zero-to-one situations
- Help shape how AI agents behave, reason, and create value in practical workflows
- Partner with design, product, and engineering teams on roadmap planning and prioritization
- Convert feedback from users, customer conversations, and data into meaningful product changes
- Contribute to product architecture and long-term platform direction, not only isolated features
- Turn ideas into working solutions quickly rather than spending excessive time in planning
Ideal Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or a similar product-centered engineering role
- Solid full-stack experience, particularly with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js
- History of taking products or systems from idea through launch
- Strong initiative and the ability to move work forward independently
- Good product judgment, with attention to user experience and business results as well as technical quality
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to solve problems as they emerge
- Strong preference for building and prototyping over lengthy planning cycles
- Clear communication skills across engineering, product, go-to-market, and leadership teams
- Interest in AI-native workflows and modern product creation
Bonus Experience
- Previous work with customers or in a customer-facing position
- Experience in startups or zero-to-one product environments
- Exposure to AI/LLMs, prompt design, or AI-powered product development
- Frequent use of tools such as Cursor, Claude, Windsurf, v0, or similar tools in daily work
- Strong focus on product speed and rapid iteration
Compensation
The base salary for this role is between $150,000 and $250,000.
The final offer may vary depending on role level, relevant experience, skills, and job-related expertise.
Equal Opportunity
The employer is committed to equal opportunity and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition, or any other protected status under applicable law.
