Multinational Service Specialist

QBE Insurance is seeking a proactive Multinational Service Specialist to join its Chelmsford team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position offers the chance to grow within multinational insurance servicing while working with brokers, clients, and colleagues across different regions.

Key purpose of the role

In this position, you will help manage complex multinational insurance programmes across the entire lifecycle, including quotation, binding, policy servicing, and cashflow management. You will partner with producing office underwriters and internal functions such as Credit Control, Claims, Compliance, and the Global Network to keep programmes compliant and running efficiently.

Main duties

• Assist with the setup and servicing of multinational programmes in line with business objectives.
• Work alongside underwriters and internal stakeholders to support smooth programme execution.
• Handle documentation for new business, renewals, mid-term amendments, and local underwriting contributions.
• Provide underwriters with input on local servicing charges, taxes, tariffs, and retentions so pricing is accurate.
• Send instructions to servicing offices and manage policy schedules and reinsurance slips.
• Track payments and collections to help maintain a strong cash position.
• Use the relevant tools to calculate and distribute taxes across premium allocations.
• Review programme performance and raise concerns when necessary.
• Keep system data accurate and maintain required service standards.
• Support process improvements, audits, and peer review activities.
• Guide junior colleagues by sharing knowledge, practical support, and best practices.

Experience and skills required

• Background in servicing multinational insurance programmes within general insurance.
• Solid understanding of territorial insurance regulations and established working methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear, cooperative approach.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
• Analytical thinking, careful attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
• Confidence using MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
