Mitarbeiter/in Bodencrew (m/w/d)

Overview

Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH is hiring a Bodencrew team member for its site in Mülheim an der Ruhr. The position is permanent and follows an active-passive working-time model.

Your role

You will support the Zeppelin NT before and after flights and help ensure safe, smooth ground operations. The role combines operational aircraft handling, passenger support, and maintenance tasks on non-flight days.

• Take care of the Zeppelin NT before and after each flight.
• Handle refuelling and helium filling of the airship.
• Operate the mast vehicle and assist passengers while boarding and disembarking.
• Monitor onboard systems from the cockpit while the aircraft is secured at the mooring mast.
• Carry out maintenance work on ground equipment and escort vehicles on days without flying operations.
• Accompany the airship on trips to sports and trade fair events in Germany and abroad.
• Complete training opportunities such as truck driving licence and ADR certification.

Working time and pay

The job uses an active-passive model: the active period runs from April to October on a full-time basis, while the passive period from November to March is time off. Based on a full-time salary, annual gross pay is between EUR 36,000 and EUR 42,000. With the 65% part-time factor applied in this model, the annual gross pay comes to between EUR 23,400 and EUR 27,300.

Work location and onboarding

Your regular workplace is Essen/Mülheim Airport. During onboarding, you will also work at the Friedrichshafen base on Lake Constance. You will be part of a small, specialised team with significant operational responsibility in a collegial and dynamic environment.
