Role Overview

As a Merchandise Associate, you will help create a positive shopping experience by engaging customers, keeping the store organized, and supporting day-to-day retail operations. The role includes working in line with merchandise presentation standards, operational procedures, and loss prevention guidelines. You may also be trained across different store areas depending on business needs.

Key Duties

• Deliver friendly, consistent customer service and use established service practices with shoppers and coworkers.
• Model a workplace culture built on honesty, respect, and integrity.
• Process purchases and returns accurately, including correct change handling.
• Support store credit and loyalty initiatives.
• Follow merchandising standards and ensure products are prepared and placed correctly for the sales floor.
• Contribute to recovery work during the day and keep the sales floor tidy and organized.
• Help maintain cleanliness throughout the store and uphold recovery standards.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback professionally.
• Follow labor laws, company policies, and operating procedures.
• Assist with shrink-reduction efforts and safety awareness activities.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile

The employer is seeking someone with strong customer service ability, clear communication, good organization, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks. Flexibility is important, as the schedule may vary based on business requirements. The role also calls for adaptability when priorities or situations change, comfort with physical lifting demands, and the ability to work well with teammates and supervisors. Prior retail customer experience is preferred.

Compensation
