Role overview
Sudbury Catholic District School Board is recruiting Lunchtime Supervisors for both regular and supply assignments at multiple school locations, including Bishop Alexander Carter CSS in Hanmer, Ontario. The board serves 17 schools across Greater Sudbury and Killarney.
Shift details
Regular assignments run for one hour each school day, Monday through Friday, during the lunch period. Supply assignments are on an as-needed basis to cover absences, so hours are not guaranteed.
Duties
Reporting to the Principal and/or Vice Principal, the Lunchtime Supervisor helps keep order and discipline in assigned indoor and outdoor school areas. The role may also include light administrative support when required.
Qualifications and profile
Successful candidates should be able to speak English clearly and interact with others in a courteous, professional, and tactful manner. The position calls for someone who works well in a team, brings a positive attitude to interactions with students, and can show patience, self-control, good judgment, and persistence when managing student behaviour. The job also involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and manual dexterity.
Experience preference
Applicants with prior experience working with children will be preferred.
Pay
The wage for this position is $24.27 per hour.
