Role Summary
The kitchen steward will support the kitchen operation across the lounges by delivering efficient, friendly service and helping the kitchen team meet guest expectations and business standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the kitchen team with day-to-day kitchen support across the lounges.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service from the heart.
- Help maintain the standards expected by guests and the business.
- Work as part of a collaborative team in a busy hospitality setting.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on a rotating roster and must be able to pass a Federal Police Clearance to work at the airport. Australian working rights are required.
Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen is preferred. A sound understanding of food and beverage safety, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and the stamina to work on your feet are important. Strong hygiene and cleanliness standards are also expected.
The role suits someone who enjoys helping others feel welcome, works well in a team, and brings a positive, fun attitude to work. Accor can train the technical skills needed for the role.
Qualifications
- Good physical fitness and the ability to keep up in a fast-moving environment.
- A warm, approachable, and friendly personality.
- Cleaning experience is not essential, though it would be considered an advantage.
- Legal permission to work in Australia.
