IT Security Professional I

Primary Purpose

The IT Security Professional I, Analyst contributes to the university’s cybersecurity program by helping manage risk, maintain compliance, monitor vulnerabilities, and support day-to-day security operations. The position combines preventive and response-focused security work, including policy support, validation of controls, and coordination with internal and external partners to safeguard institutional information, systems, and research-related assets. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this role helps implement and sustain security controls, assists with cyber event response, supports governance and compliance efforts, and encourages secure practices throughout the university.
