Job Summary

Medline is hiring an Inspector in Mombasa, Kenya to carry out pre-shipment inspection work, assess product quality, document outcomes, and communicate findings promptly to the relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the inspection process and required paperwork in line with Medline’s request and schedule, examine products, finalize the inspection outcome, submit the inspection report, and circulate it to the appropriate stakeholders without delay.
• For any lot rejection or related queries, provide divisional QA and other stakeholders with clear, detailed evidence and explanations on the same day as the inspection.
• Spot quality-related risks and escalate recommendations to the supervisor or manager quickly and efficiently.
• Offer practical suggestions or flag procedural/product issues to divisional QA and product management teams so the inspection workflow can be improved and made more efficient.
• Complete all company-required documentation, including expense records and performance review materials, within the expected timelines.
• Remain adaptable and willing to take on changes in work arrangements when required.
• Handle additional duties assigned by the supervisor or manager in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• A college degree or higher is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in quality control, with a strong quality mindset.
• Experience in the medical device sector is an added advantage.
• Good communication abilities, a positive personality, and strong teamwork skills are important.
• Applicants should be detail-focused and honest.
• A strong interest in learning new things and the ability to learn independently are expected.
• Willingness to travel frequently is required.
