Role Overview
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and the next steps in the hiring process. The role is for an HR Director based in Ireland.
This is a high-impact chance to establish and lead a global People function from the ground up during an active scale-up phase. You will set the HR direction, put modern people practices in place, and create the infrastructure needed to support fast international expansion across several regions. Working closely with executive leaders, you will influence culture, talent planning, and leadership growth while using AI and automation to improve efficiency. The position is highly autonomous and combines strategic direction with hands-on delivery, making it well suited to someone who enjoys creating scalable HR operations in a fast-moving, technology-led business where people are a strategic advantage.
Key Accountabilities
- Shape and run a comprehensive People strategy that supports rapid global growth and aligns workforce planning with wider business goals.
- Review the current HR setup in detail, including organization design, compensation, compliance, talent processes, and performance measures, and identify where AI-led automation can improve outcomes.
- Develop scalable HR processes for onboarding, probation, performance reviews, career growth, employee engagement, and exit management.
- Build a structured, metrics-led hiring model with clear recruitment workflows, interviewing standards, manager support, and candidate assessment methods.
- Create HR dashboards and KPIs to track hiring speed, quality of talent, retention, organizational performance, and workforce productivity.
- Introduce clear grading, pay, performance review, and OKR frameworks that support both business expansion and employee development.
- Oversee global HR operations across multiple regions, working effectively with payroll partners, Employers of Record, and local compliance obligations.
- Evaluate, implement, and improve modern HR systems such as HRIS, ATS, and workflow automation tools.
- Recruit, coach, and guide a high-performing People & Talent team, while supporting managers with leadership, hiring, feedback, and team development.
- Promote a high-performance environment built on ownership, accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5-7+ years of experience leading HR or People Operations, including direct experience building an HR function from scratch in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
- Background in FinTech, Crypto, high-growth SaaS, or another fast-scaling multi-region technology business is required.
- Evidence of supporting rapid expansion, ideally taking a company from around 50 employees to 200+.
- Strong experience handling globally distributed teams and international employment models, including Employers of Record and compliance across multiple countries.
- Ability to define long-term People strategy while still staying close to execution and implementation of HR systems and processes.
- Analytical, metrics-oriented approach to HR, with experience using dashboards and data to improve performance and guide business decisions.
- Strong leadership in recruitment, with the ability to scale teams quickly without compromising hiring quality or culture fit.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive influence skills, with confidence working closely with CEOs and senior leaders.
- Experience introducing HR platforms, automation tools, and AI-enabled solutions to increase operational efficiency.
- Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian, plus intermediate or stronger English.
- Comfort working remotely across European time zones under a B2B contract.
Benefits and Additional Information
This is a fully remote role with collaboration across European time zones. It is offered on a B2B contract, providing flexibility and the potential for long-term growth.
The compensation is positioned in the top tier of the market and includes a performance bonus linked to clearly defined KPIs. You will have full ownership of the global HR function and direct access to executive decision-making.
The role offers the opportunity to build the People organization from scratch during a key international scale-up period, along with a dedicated budget to expand the HR team and implement modern HR technology and automation tools.
There is also a clear path toward future progression into a Head of People or Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) role as the company continues to grow. The culture is English-first, merit-based, highly autonomous, and focused on innovation, speed, and measurable business impact.
Application and Privacy Information
The hiring partner manages application review and subsequent recruitment steps. Applications are assessed using an AI-assisted matching process to evaluate fit against the role’s core requirements. The strongest matches are then shared with the employer, while interviews and further assessments are handled internally by their team.
By applying, you agree that your personal data may be processed to evaluate your suitability for the role and shared with the hiring employer. This processing is based on legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. You may exercise your data rights, including access, correction, deletion, and objection, at any time.
AI tools may also be used in parts of the hiring workflow, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, assessing responses, and flagging potential inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools support the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment, and final hiring decisions are made by people.
